 Introduction to the ReelGroovy Sound

After years with a consistent, working career in the country crossover music industry, and fueled by a very defined sound, style and versatility , it was time to shake things up. It started out with Heidi having a gig at the very respected Jazz club, The “Bassment” in Saskatoon in 2013 and   it was decided to 'stack the deck' with the best players there is. It just sort of happened and morphed into a “ReelGroovy” thing. A collection of incredibly notable A- list music professionals and friends- some new, some old, some family, all crossings paths at gigs and sessions over the years . It has become relationships of great respect and great vibes. The ReelGroovyBand is what happened when these individuals came together.

Collectively, it became all of the musical influences, history , signature style and groove, a blend of R and B-  jazz, blues and rock n roll with a hint of country flavor. This is not a new sound, it's familiar and comfortable, it makes you move, and takes you somewhere else. It can feel fresh, innovative, unique and risky. It's long overdue - It gets us back to music the way it was meant to be heard and felt in your gut. People love it, they are young, they are old, they want to dance and listen. These musicians are real, they are confidence and chemistry on stage that is defined and obvious.
